Prayer for Jerusalem Sunday
Canon Doug Richards writes: "Today we celebrate Jerusalem Sunday. A Sunday that is set apart for us to remember and prayer for the peace of Jerusalem. While on a pilgrimage in Israel a little over a year ago I walked in the streets of Jerusalem and visited the Holy Sites. I was left with an impression of the holiness of the city, but also the great divides between those who live there. It is the place where the Holy One, Jesus, walked and taught. It is also the home of our Jewish and Muslim brothers and sisters. It is the center of faith, but it is also a place of deep conflict. Let us remember Jerusalem in our prayers today and every day." A prayer for Jerusalem Sunday, written by the Most Rev. Fred Hiltz, Primate of the Anglican Church of Canada, and read by Rt. Rev. Suheil Dawani, Bishop of Jerusalem. Click here to launch the video. A Parting Gift for Dean Parker

He has asked that anyone wishing to make such a gift direct it to the Cathedral Benevolent fund which is used to help those in various kinds of need.
