Summer Connecting for Cathedral Parishioners
Archdeacon Pat Johnston and Canon Hilary Murray look forward to "seeing" you this coming Thursday. Everyone is invited to join a virtual coffee hour (sorry, you'll have to provide your own coffee!) on Thursday, August 20 from 11 am to noon or from 7 pm to 8 pm. You can even come to both if you're available. There is no big agenda, just a chance to say hello and catch up with other parishioners. Take a peak! We're getting ready to re-open and we hope you will join us
In consultation with the COVID-19 advisors, and based on current trends in the evolution of COVID-19 in our region, Bishop Shane has announced that on September 1 2020, our diocese will move from RED to AMBER according to our In This Together plan (https://bit.ly/3j7Pft5). Accordingly, the Cathedral is now making specific plans to reopen for Sunday service, with restrictions, on Sunday, September 6 — with the understanding that we will not move if conditions change for the worse between now and September 1. It has been a long summer and we have missed being together so we will reopen "with restrictions" to test the waters and make sure we offer a safe experience for everyone. If you are interested in joining us September 6 we'd like to give you an idea of what to expect. Pre-registration will be required either by email of phone. CLICK HERE for more details. If you have decided to wait to see how it goes, we will continue to offer an online option until you are comfortable joining us. |
Thank you for your financial support
During this pandemic we have continued to offer many of our ministries, though their shape has changed. Pastoral care, music, education, spiritual nurture, mission partnerships, worship... we have been exploring new modes to make all of these things happen. We thank the many parishioners who have continued their generous financial support of our work. There are many ways to contribute financially: pre-authorized monthly giving, cheques in the mail, Canada Helps, credit cards etc. We want to make it easy for you to give, so please call the office if you need assistance. We truly appreciate your support! |
Thank you to front line workers - and to you for staying safe at home
Readings for next week For information on anything you read here, please write to us at info@ottawacathedral.ca and we'll be glad to help. The Cathedral church and premises remain closed until further notice. For more infomation visit:
