Our Sunday morning service for this week is now available online. Our preacher this week is Archdeacon Pat Johnston, Interim Rector at Christ Church Cathedral. This week the welcome, readings, Gospel and reflection are all offered along with the music as audio links. We hope you will share this service with others in appropriate ways, abiding physical distancing. We are all very excited to move to the first stage of reopening next Sunday - September 6. Pre-registration is required to attend Sunday services. Currently September 6 is fully subscribed but send us an email or call the office and we would be pleased to book you in for another Sunday. For those attending from home, you will offer a new worship experience next week as we live stream the in-person podcast (audio only) beginning at 10:30 Sunday morning. More details will be included here next week.

Meditations with Canon Hilary now online
Two Richard Rohr meditations from The Center for Action, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, are now available online. The first will look at 'The Foundation of Community' and 'Order, Disorder, Reorder: Part One - Awe, Wonder and Love'. This week two reflections have been added to the site. We hope they will inspire you and that you will take time to consider your own experience. You are invited to engage in contemplation learning more about how you view Christian community and faith. Take a peak! We're getting ready to re-open and we hope you will join us
In consultation with the COVID-19 advisors, and based on current trends in the evolution of COVID-19 in our region, Bishop Shane has announced that on September 1 2020, our diocese will move from RED to AMBER according to our In This Together plan (https://bit.ly/3j7Pft5). Accordingly, the Cathedral is now making specific plans to reopen for Sunday service, with restrictions, on Sunday, September 6 — with the understanding that we will not move if conditions change for the worse between now and September 1. It has been a long summer and we have missed being together so we will reopen "with restrictions" to test the waters and make sure we offer a safe experience for everyone. If you are interested in joining us, we'd like to give you an idea of what to expect. Pre-registration will be required either by email of phone. At this time, the first service on September 6 is fully subscribed. Please contact us to pre-register for other Sundays in September and October. If you have decided to wait to see how it goes, we will continue to offer an online option until you are comfortable joining us. For more infomation visit:

Thank you for your financial support
During this pandemic we have continued to offer many of our ministries, though their shape has changed. Pastoral care, music, education, spiritual nurture, mission partnerships, worship... we have been exploring new modes to make all of these things happen. We thank the many parishioners who have continued their generous financial support of our work. There are many ways to contribute financially: pre-authorized monthly giving, cheques in the mail, Canada Helps, credit cards etc. We want to make it easy for you to give, so please call the office if you need assistance. We truly appreciate your support! |
Thank you to front line workers - and to you for staying safe at home
