A Note of ThanksFrom the Dean Dear Friends, What an extraordinary Holy Week and Easter Day! From the waving of palms to James' beautiful organ meditation to the poetic weekday eucharists to the drama of Maundy Thursday to the stark reality of Good Friday to the artistry of the sacred concert to the light and blessing of Easter Eve to the simply glorious services on Easter Day -- it was was a real testament to the power of teamwork. Every single volunteer, flower arranger, donor, pastoral care visitor, server, staff member, sidesperson, chorister, warden, coffee host, clergy person, and worshipper contributed positively and happily, making the worship and fellowship meaningul experiences of faith lived out in community. Special thanks to all our choristers, directors, and musicians -- our Cathedral literally sings with joy and so much talent! This year was unique in that we did not have a bishop, so I especially appreciated the support, leadership and preaching of all our clergy -- we are blessed! And thanks to our office and building staff for making sure everything was in its place, photocopied and ready, and completely organized -- all done without a fuss. May the new life of the risen Christ, so powerfully experienced this Easter, empower us to share joy and hope with all those whom we meet. Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! For more infomation visit:

Parking ChangesPlease be aware! It has been brought to our attention by the Vista on Sparks that people are parking directly in front of the their building on Sparks Street, which is their lay-by and loading zone. Please do not park there or you may well be ticketed and towed. Please also be alert to "Special Event" signs in the neighbourhood that restrict parking. Please also make sure to only park on level P1 in the underground garage. If all our allotted spots are taken (as indicated by the signage), you must leave the parking garage and find parking somewhere else -- and not on the lane way to the garage. Electric parking spots are also not available for Cathedral parking. If you need a refresher on parking, please see the instructions in the Other Information section of this newsletter. It is also time for us to change the parking code. The new code will be in the newsletter and available by calling or visiting the Cathedral's reception. We will let you know as of what date it will change. Thank you! |

An Invitation to Share in HopeAt Christ Church Cathedral It is easy to be moved by the sacred beauty and warm welcome of Christ Church Cathedral — a place some encounter briefly, and others come to call their spiritual home. It is a place that nourishes the soul through worship and music, care and community, and it exists because of generosity: the generosity of those who have gone before us, and the generosity of those who give today. To share hope faithfully and sustainably, our Cathedral must be well resourced. As an expression of joy and gratitude, you are invited to consider how you might respond. Click below to explore an invitation to give, to see what your giving makes possible, and to learn how it is easy to give. Thank you for responding to this place that sustains you by offering your own gifts in return.
