In preparation for the Festive Market on November 28^th, there will be a series of pie-making bees in the Cathedral kitchen. Each session will be from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays: September 21st, 23rd and 25th will be apple pie-making; September 28th, 30th and October 2nd will be strawberry rhubarb; and October 5th, 7th and 9th will be blueberry. Between Sunday services, the clergy usually gather in the Dean's office to connect and have a cup of coffee. Last Sunday, her first since returning from sabbatical and vacation, Dean Beth was caught up visiting with people in the sanctuary and when she finally arrived in her office, Deacon Jarrett, Bishop Peter and Canon Doug were ready and waiting to catch up!

As the Cathedral of the Anglican Military Ordinariate of the Canadian Armed Forces, it was a a joy and pleasure to host the consecration of their Bishop Ordinary, The Right Reverend Jennifer Gosse-Vingerhoeds on Tuesday, September 15th. May she be blessed in her ministry. Much admiration of our choirs and organists, efficient organization, warm hospitality and lovely liturgy was expressed to the Dean - so thank you to all who made this service very special. 

From the Vicar’s Desk is a place where, through short articles, questions can be explored that do not always fit easily into a Sunday sermon. Topics from Anglican history and traditions to why we worship the way we do to how people in our past who have influenced who we are today will be featured. September already? Summer is always all too fleeting. We hope you have been refreshed and transformed by its quiet beauties, as Bishop Kathryn Otley writes, and are ready to step into a season of renewed activity. Parking | Street parking is free around the Cathedral on Sundays. Cathedral parking at the Vista on Sparks is off Queen Street, immediately east of the Cathedral, on the P1 Level. You MUST have the code to enter the parking garage and to re-enter and access the elevator (glass door across from the Cathedral's new east steps). The code is 3578.  It will be posted at our reception desk and listed here each week. If you enter the garage and there are no spots available, you will need to exit and find parking nearby.
