A Note of Thanks

A Note of Thanks

From the Dean

This photo, taken by Doug Morris on New Year's Day, reflects my deep feelings of gratitude and joy at being your Dean and having the privilege of ministering among you.

Advent, Christmas and New Year's Day were simply extraordinary! Every single person gave their all to make our sacred space inviting, our welcome and hospitality warm, and our worship transcendent. So very many people, members, friends and visitors alike, have passed on glowing comments that my heart is full to overflowing. Special mention goes out to James and Andrew and all our choirs and musicians. The quality of music is world class and the gracious and collaborative attitude of all involved is a gift.

Please know that no matter how small or how big your contribution, it all comes together in a way that touches people's souls. Thank you also for your positive response to the Giving with Joy financial stewardship campaign. We cannot do what we do and be God's people in this place at this time without your donations. The Spirit is truly at work among us!

Next week the newsletter will include links to many of the delightful photos taken since the beginning of Advent. May they make you smile!

With joy and thanksgiving,
Dean Beth

An Invitation to Share in Hope

An Invitation to Share in Hope

At Christ Church Cathedral

It is easy to be moved by the sacred beauty and warm welcome of Christ Church Cathedral — a place some encounter briefly, and others come to call their spiritual home. It is a place that nourishes the soul through worship and music, care and community, and it exists because of generosity: the generosity of those who have gone before us, and the generosity of those who give today.

To share hope faithfully and sustainably, our Cathedral must be well resourced. As an expression of joy and gratitude, you are invited to consider how you might respond.

Click below to explore an invitation to give, to see what your giving makes possible, and to learn how it is easy to give. You may also wish to hear Dean Beth’s sermon from December 14th, which reflects on Giving with Joy. The livestream is available here.

Thank you for responding to this place that sustains you by offering your own gifts in return.
