The PWRDF Wild Ride Returns!
Last year, members of Christ Church rallied in support of a nation wide support of the Primate’s Fund under the banner of “Ride for Refuge”. Our new Cathedral Representative is seeking volunteers to help with The Wild Ride this year. Planning needs to begin over the summer months for the event to take place in mid-autumn, although a date has not yet been set. All new, imaginative and fun ways to work as small teams to raise funds are welcome! Those interested in helping and those who participated in other years are encouraged to contact Paul Kompass by phone (613-228-2195, a land line but after 3 rings leave a message) or by email (kompasshouse@bell.net). Thank you! |

Cathedral Women Planning for Bazaar
In the fall, Cathedral Women will make a decision about whether to have a bazaar on the last Saturday of November or a mini bazaar on the next day, Sunday, as we did for the last two years. Some of you like to donate to the gift and travel table; that is appreciated so do collect items. However, we will not be having Attic Treasures as our volunteers are not numerous enough to support this venture. Books, less than five years, old are welcome and, of course, jewellery and knitting. A Christmas table is a possibility if we have enough volunteers to help. If you have rhubarb, we would love to have it to freeze now and prepare pies in the fall. We would also appreciate baked goods in November and a reminder will be sent closer to the time. Thank you! |

Can You Help with Coffee Hour?
Can you help just once a year (or more) with our Sunday coffee hour? No experience needed. Please contact Jane Morris at info@ottawacathedral.ca or sign up on Sunday by adding your name to our list of coffee hour volunteers. Families/groups are also welcome to sign up as a unit. Generally we need a minimum of four people for coffee hour and two during the summer months when we serve lemonade You will be contacted in advance to choose when you would like to help. Please consider signing up for this valuable ministry. Our goal is to have a roster of at least 100 volunteers. Many hands make light work. |

Remembering Loved OnesAltar flower dedications Each week the flowers on the high altar are dedicated in memory of family or friends of cathedral members. The dedication is noted each week in the Order of Service. We do have some openings in the summer schedule. Please be in touch with the cathedral office if you are interested in dedicating flowers for a Sunday in July, August or September. |
