Cathedral Newsletter for November 22nd, 2020
This Sunday we celebrate the Reign of Christ Sunday at the 10:30 morning service. Our preacher is Dean Beth Bretzlaff. At 4pm we celebrate the Installation of the Dean of Ottawa with Installations of New Archdeacons and Canons. Both services will be live streamed from on our YouTube site (click the link below). A Stewardship message
Stewardship month concludes this week with Christ the King, November 22nd set as Pledge Sunday. It is not too late to make your pledge. Memorial flowers for ChristmasRemembering loved ones This year the cathedral will again be adorned in flowers and decorations as we celebrate the season. The names of those being memorialized will be printed in the order of service. |
Gift bags lining up for Centre 454
Every year the cathedral community comes together to prepare gift bags for the Centre 454 Christmas party. This year will not see the expected festive party in the Great Hall but your contributions are more important than ever. The Cathedral Men will again coordinate our contributions making sure all bags get to the incredible staff and volunteers who will bring Christmas to many in the community who need assistance. Drop your contributions (items for the gift bags) off direct to The Well on Elgin, or here at the cathedral. Contact the cathedral office for more information. |

Help to deliver Christmas to our shut-ins

Wednesday Noon Eucharist
We offer one weekday eucharist each week, Wednesdays at noon in the nave. In order to provide a range of worship experiences, each week we will use a different liturgy: 1st week of the month - BAS eucharist with the Litany of Reconciliation; 2nd week of the month - Creation focused eucharist using the New Zealand Prayer Book; 3rd week of the month - Healing focused eucharist using resources from Iona; 4th week of the month - traditional BCP communion service. The eucharist will be celebrated and communion offered by bread only (gluten free wafers will be available). |
