To The Reverend Bob Albert

Our Cathedral clergy and community have come to know and love the Reverend Bob Albert, first as a Student Intern during the pandemic, and for the past number of months as Assistant Curate, when he was between appointments. He has willingly shared gifts of IT knowledge and development, pastoral support, preaching and celebrating, wonderful colleagueship, and a great sense of humour! Bishop Shane has appointed Reverend Bob as Incumbent of the Parish of Huntley (Carp and environs) beginning July 2nd. This Sunday will be his last day with us, and a prayer of blessing will be offered at the end of the 10.30 am service. Please wish him all the best!

An Amazing Pentecost Weekend

An Amazing Pentecost Weekend

Filled with the Spirit

Last weekend was very special - hosting Doors Open Ottawa and celebrating Pentecost with style! Thank you is not even adequate to cover the deep gratitude to one and all for your hard work, warm hospitality, and positive attitude. Make sure to watch the livestream (at the very end is the audio of Bishop Shane's blessing of the steps) and keep an eye on our website to see view photos when they are uploaded. What joy!

Gardening Angels

Gardening Angels

At work

Make sure to take a walk around the Cathedral and see all the new plantings! Gardeners Shawn, Ann, Sarah, Ann, and Doug (pictured here) have been hard at work. Queen Street and Sparks Street gardens have been completely renewed, the Garth has been tidied and is growing at great speed, and The Vista have finished all the planting along Philospher's Walk. This week many passerbys enjoyed sitting on the new steps and the benches - all part of our ministry of hospitality! Thanks to all who make our Cathedral beautiful.

To spare?

If you have rhubarb to spare, washed and cut and in a plastic bag, the Cathedral Women would welcome the donation. They will store it in the freezer and turn it into pie in the fall - yum!
