Shoring up our FutureRestoration work moves to the next stage In anticipation of the development of the lands east of the cathedral, a talented team of masons have taken on the restoration of the east wall of the cathedral, both above and below grade. Once the construction begins, it will be difficult to access these walls in an effective way. With the beautiful spring weather, the team from MH Stoneworks have been making good progress. They have now completed the restoration of the area above grade. With the assistance of the excavation team, a trench has been opened up to allow access to the wall down to bedrock. Over the next few weeks, efforts will be focused on raking out loose mortar and replacing mortar and stones where needed. All of this will ensure the strength of the cathedral for generations to come. |

Pilgrimage to CoventryJoin the Dean in this online experience As a partner in the Community of the Cross of Nails, cathedral members are encouraged to visit Coventry and share in its very special and powerful message of reconciliation. Twice a year, in spring and autumn, a pilgrimage is hosted specifically for this purpose. It is an occasion for partners, current and aspiring, to come together at Coventry Cathedral for prayer and contemplation, to meet others in the network, to share their stories and experiences, and to learn from and be involved in the work of the Cathedral’s global reconciliation ministry. This year, due to Covid-19, they held their first, and very successful, online pilgrimage! You can read about it here. And now there will be an online spring pilgrimage on April 28th-30th, from 2pm to 6pm UK time. Our dean has been to Coventry and will be attending and she would love to have company! Please register by emailing alice.farnhill@coventrycathedral.org.uk and also contact the cathedral office by email at info@ottawacathedral.ca or by phone at 613.236.9149 to let us know if you will be attending. We look forward to having a cathedral group share this once in a lifetime experience! For more infomation visit:

Offerings from St. Luke's
On Wednesdays, St. Luke's offers a Service of the Word with Lectio divina on Zoom. Three different translations (NRSV, Good News and The Message) of the Gospel for the coming Sunday are read, and we are guided by the questions "What word or phrase stood out for you?" "What spoke to you in the passage?" "What meaning had you not perceived before?" and "What is the Gospel asking you to do today?". All are welcome. Click here for the Zoom link.
St. Luke's offers a weekly newsletter with worship resources and much more. CLICK HERE to subscribe, or here to look at previous editions.
