Dean's Charge to Vestry 2022

Dean's Charge to Vestry 2022

Last weekend at our worship services, and in preparation for our annual vestry that afternoon, our Dean preached her Charge to the cathedral. Dean Beth offered reflections on the past year, and a message of hope as we open once again and look forward to the year ahead.

Changing Pandemic Protocols

Changing Pandemic Protocols

Moving forward!

In accordance with recent changes in provincial guidelines, proof of vaccination is no longer required to attend services at Christ Church Cathedral. Also, as of Sunday, March 6th, our cathedral is once again fully open!

Masks are required to be worn at all times in the cathedral and related spaces. However, another positive change is that readers, intercessors, the preacher and the celebrant are now able to remove their masks whilst fulfilling these roles during worship. What welcome signs as a new spring approaches!

We are all so very proud of our ADoM, Andrew McAnerney! This week one of his "other projects" SMAM's (Studio de musique ancienne de Montréal) latest CD, conducted by Andrew, received national recognition through nomination for the Juno awards "Album of the year classical (large ensemble)".

You can buy or download your own copy of the recording using the link below. A very special project and a bright point in COVID music making.

Contemplative Prayer for Lent

Contemplative Prayer for Lent

Weekly, beginning Thursday, March 3rd, 2022

We live in a world of many voices trying to get our attention.  To focus on one voice can be difficult.  During Lent we are offering an opportunity to be silent to listen for the 'still small voice' that we associate with God.

At 12:05 pm on Thursdays during Lent you are invited to gather in the Cathedral for a time of prayer, reflection and silence, to calm your mind and open your heart to the silence that is God's presence.

Compline for Lent
