Cathedral NewsletterSunday, March 31st, 2024 Easter Sunday will be celebrated with Holy Eucharist (BCP) at 8:30 am, and Festal Eucharist (BAS) at 10:30 am. Our preacher will be Dean Beth Bretzlaff. CLICK HERE to open the 8:30 Order of Service. If you would like to save a few trees when attending services at the Cathedral, QR codes are available at both entrances so that you may follow the order of service on your phone or tablet. Please be advised that the Cathedral and our offices will remain closed Monday April 1st. Happy Easter! |

Solemnity of the Lord's PassionGood Friday, March 29th at noon Please join us for The Solemnity of the Lord's Passion, a very moving service. The Cathedral will remain open until the Stabat Mater for those who wish to pray in the sacred quiet. Stabat MaterA Good Friday Sacred Concert at 3 pm In what has become a regular feature of Holy Week here at Christ Church, we invite you to join us as the Cathedral Girls Choir performs Giovanni Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater” accompanied by strings and continuo; a devotional and solemn musical offering in the shadow of the Cross. |
A Vigil for EasterHoly Saturday, March 30th at 8 pm On this night, we gather in darkness and kindle the Easter fire, hear the foundational scriptures of our faith, and celebrate that all things are made new in the Risen Christ as we renew our baptismal vows. |

Construction on Queen Street
Please note that access to Queen Street between Bay and Bronson is now restricted as part of city works installing new storm and sanitary sewers, sidewalks, curbs, catch basins, and completing paving, traffic calming, and landscaping over the next several months. We do not have details as to the extent nor timing of the closures so please plan accordingly when travelling to and from the Cathedral. We thank you in advance for your patience as this work is undertaken. |
Free Sunday ParkingAt the Library and Archives and other places Just 300 metres away from the Cathedral, both sides of the Library and Archives at 395 Wellington offer lots of free parking on Sundays. Looking for more parking near our Cathedral? Children's Worship ActivitiesNew every Sunday Children are welcome to fully participate in worship and the life of the Cathedral! Activity sheets and supplies are available in the bookshelves at the entrance to the Cathedral. Please help yourself to these resources or ask a sidesperson to locate them. There is also a table in the Great Hall to use and the labyrinth to walk. If your child is interested in being a junior server, member of a choir, or a reader, please speak with our clergy. |
