Greetings and gratitude from cousins "up the line"
Dear Cousins, Greetings from “up the line” in the Parish of the Valley. We know it’s been some time since we last wrote, but we wanted to let you know that we’ve recently taken up residence at Holy Trinity Church in Pembroke. It is a lovely sanctuary adorned with the finest Valley woodworking, not unlike your storied home at our cathedral.

Consciousness, Compassion and CreativityA Virtual Labyrinth Event As the February snow blankets Ottawa, a few hardy Labyrinth Guild members embrace the opportunity to create snow labyrinths. Through the lens of consciousness, compassion and creativity, we will look at the practice of making a snow labyrinth and teach the “how to” as both a mental exercise and form of meditation.
On Monday, February 22nd at 7 pm, Cathedral Labyrinth Guild members Barbara Brown and Elspeth MacEwan will lead a virtual gathering to contemplate the gifts of winter in our labyrinth practices. PRE-REGISTER by calling 613.236.9149 or email to info@ottawacathedral.ca. Additional information and Zoom connection details will be forwarded to program participants.

Offerings from St. Luke's
On Wednesdays, St. Luke's offers a Service of the Word with Lectio divina on Zoom. Three different translations (NRSV, Good News and The Message) of the Gospel for the coming Sunday are read, and we are guided by the questions "What word or phrase stood out for you?" "What spoke to you in the passage?" "What meaning had you not perceived before?" and "What is the Gospel asking you to do today?". All are welcome. Click here for the Zoom link.
St. Luke's offers a weekly newsletter with worship resources and much more. CLICK HERE to subscribe, or here to look at previous editions.
