A Day of Worship, Celebration and Inspiration on November 14th

Come and celebrate the 130th Anniversary of the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa, the 50th Anniversary of the Ordination of Women, and the 25th Anniversary of the Christ Church Cathedral Girls Choir on Saturday, November 19th at Christ Church Cathedral.

11 am - Join in a festive Choral Eucharist as we give thanks for the faithful witness and leadership of women in the life of our Diocese, our Church and our world. Bishop Kathryn Otley will preach, Dean Beth Bretzlaff will preside, and the Cathedral Girls Choir with Alumnae will sing. All clergy are invited to vest (red).

Following the Service - All are warmly invited to a reception with light refreshments to celebrate these significant milestones, to reconnect with friends, and to give thanks for the many women, past and present, whose leaderships strengthens our Church.

2 pm - Attend the book launch of Anne Boleyn: Reputation, Revolution, Religion, and the Queen Who Changed History by The Reverend Canon Martha Tatarnic (May 2026). Canon Tatarnic explores the life of Anne Boleyn and what her story tells us about women, religion, power, and the enduring impact of how history remembers women. Author remarks, a conversation, and an opportunity to purchase signed copies.
