On Sunday, October 22nd, we were privileged to have The Very Reverend Canon Richard Sewell and his spouse, JulieAnn, worship with us at the Cathedal. Dean Richard was our guest preacher, and the link to his sermon is below. They also both attended and spoke at our Diocesan Synod last week, having just arrived from Jerusalem.

St George's College is the Anglican centre for pilgrimage in the Holy Land. In addition to his role as Dean of the College, Richard is a Residentiary Canon of St George’s Cathedral, Jerusalem. Dean Richard was ordained priest twenty years ago. He served for fifteen years as a parish priest in a variety of churches in the Diocese of Southwark in London. He has now worked for five years in Jerusalem.

JulieAnn Sewell was a Primary School Counsellor in the UK, and since she arrived in Jerusalem five years ago has worked in the fundraising section of the Jerusalem Princess Basma Centre—a diocesan institution which rehabilitates children with disabilities. Richard and JulieAnn have two adult children who live in London.
