A native of Nova Scotia, Nick grew up at St. George’s Round Church in Halifax, where his early musical experiences shaped his lifelong dedication to sacred music. He studied as Organ Scholar at the University of King’s College and pursued graduate studies at the University of Toronto, serving as Organ Scholar at both Trinity College and St. James Cathedral, and was appointed a Junior Fellow of Massey College.
Nick is Director of Programs and Operations at the Michaëlle Jean Foundation, managing national arts initiatives and youth programs. He also serves as Director of Music at Dominion-Chalmers United Church, curating concerts, fostering community music programs, and collaborating with local and international artists. As founder and Artistic Director of Aureas Voces, he champions historically informed performance, presenting innovative works at major festivals across Canada while mentoring emerging artists. He also founded the Oak and Holly Quartet, an ensemble that blends folk traditions with early music repertoire.
Nick’s work reflects a commitment to making music a shared and transformative experience, bridging communities and nurturing artistic excellence.
